I am an integrative counsellor who works with adults from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
I find that people come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be dealing with a major life change such as having a baby or the loss of a loved one or you may be experiencing feelings of being in a rut and are anxious or just unsure of how you feel about your life.
Having a support network is a good thing, but you may not want or feel able to open up and discuss your innermost thoughts and feelings with those closest to you. This is where having a space to talk about whatever is happening for you with an impartial, trusted person in a confidential setting can be beneficial.
Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, my role as therapeutic counsellor is to provide you with a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where you are able to explore your thoughts and feelings openly.
Together we can work together with an aim to evaluate where you feel you are currently in your life, then identify what direction you may want your life to take and what process you need to undertake to achieve your aims.
As an integrative counsellor, I am experienced in combining approaches from psychodynamic and person-centred theories and adapting them to personally suit the individual needs of my clients.
Essentially this means that I am here to support you. Together we shall explore whatever issues present themselves for you at this time, as well as acknowledging how your past may have influenced your current choices and behaviour.
I see individual clients so that I can offer them one to one counselling, specifically developing issues within their particular time frame
