My approach
I offer focused, insight-oriented psychotherapy that helps you understand the deeper emotional and relational patterns shaping your current difficulties. My work is reflective and attuned, providing a calm, containing space where you can explore your experiences at a pace that feels manageable.
My background as a psychiatrist brings clinical rigour and depth to the therapeutic process. My psychodynamic training at the Anna Freud Centre shapes the relational, reflective way I work. I pay close attention to how past experiences influence present emotional distress, and how patterns in relationships repeat across different areas of life.
My practice is neuroaffirming. Autism is embraced as a valid neurotype, and therapy is adapted to autistic communication, sensory and processing styles.
Many autistic adults come to me when they feel exhausted from masking, overwhelmed by chronic stress, or unsure how to make sense of their identity. Sessions are structured, predictable and collaborative, with clear transitions and steady pacing.
People often seek therapy with me when previous approaches have not reached the root of their difficulties, or when they feel stuck in repeating emotional or relational patterns. I often work with individuals navigating high pressure roles, complex organisational dynamics, or the emotional impact of carrying significant responsibility at work.
Together we make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, supporting change that feels meaningful, sustainable and lasting.
DIT is a time limited model (16 sessions), but there is flexibility to continue beyond this when it is clinically appropriate and supportive of the client’s needs.
