Types of therapy I offer
- Relational life therapy
- Transformative approach to couples therapy
It all starts with a careful assessment of the relational stance from various inter-personal, intra-personal and cultural lenses. Once we have established the relational dynamic, we can then find creative solutions together on how to move towards the desired relational goals. Clients will become aware of what is holding them back from achieving these outcomes so we can unlock the barriers that are in the way.
For both individuals and couples, the therapeutic relationship with me will be a safe space where clients can unburden themselves from their presenting issues. We will explore those issues, become aware of their causes and look at any difficulties in an absolutely non-judgemental way.
Confidentiality will be guaranteed between individuals, as well as couples and myself. However, it may be necessary in couples therapy to see partners individually for a period of time, where the confidentiality will be between the 2 of us, not the 3 of us.
My approach is deeply anchored in holding clients but at the same time challenging them to progress forward, especially to move from blame to understanding. It is fundamentally based on the believe that we co-create behaviour in each other and the need to accept this responsibility.
All individuals will be treated with respect and warmth, and held in high regard. As I don’t believe that one size fits all, therefore all my sessions are tailor-made for different situations. Some clients may benefit from a more directive approach, deep trauma or inner empowerment work, whereas others may thrive on more light-hearted interventions and connecting to their inner wisdom.
I use a multi-modal approach to therapy which integrates relational life therapy, the transformative approach to couples therapy, sex therapy, elements of psychodrama, parts work, psychoanalysis, dream analysis and my favourite, therapeutic humour. I also offer laser coaching of relational skills, for instance the art of communication.
This is a therapy for all people who want to live more relationally and experience real togetherness. It is a space to destress, recover, reenergise, calm down, move forward and find lightheartedness.
