My approach
My training was integrative, which means that I draw on a range of theories to provide a tailored approach for each person, which suits their unique situation.
I work collaboratively, in the belief that together we will be able to identify the goals and practices that work best for you.
I am happy to offer both short-term (6–12 sessions) or longer-term therapy, depending on the nature of the issues you are facing.
I aim to offer a safe, supportive and sometimes challenging space, in which the issues that are troubling you can be explored in a creative, curious and non-judgmental way.
This should allow you to develop increased understanding and self-compassion, and support you in making any changes you feel are necessary.
About me
I retrained as a psychotherapist after a long career in advocacy and applied social policy research. Issues of diversity, equality and social justice remain important to me.
I am interested in both the ‘inner weather’ of people’s emotions and thoughts and the ‘outer weather’ of their circumstances, as both make a significant contribution to wellbeing.
