My approach
Therapy is a partnership. We’ll look at what you’re going through now, how past experiences might be affecting you, and what you need to move forward.
My practice is trauma-based, so I pay close attention to patterns of behaviour, emotional safety and grounding as we work together.
Not all therapy needs to focus on trauma. If this approach isn’t right for you, we’ll explore other areas together to ensure you’re getting the most from your therapeutic experience.
In our sessions, you can expect:
- a gentle, trauma-based approach, bringing theory into our sessions where necessary
- psychoeducation around core beliefs, attachment and how the brain works
- tools and reflections you can use in daily life
Training, qualifications and experience
- Level 6 Certificate in Creative Supervision of Practice (2024)
- Certificate in Childhood Abuse and Complex Trauma (2017)
- PG Adv Dip Counselling Children & Young People (2014)

I have been practising as a humanistic counsellor since 2012, beginning my work in community services and schools. I have worked in private practice since 2016 and have over 4,000 hours of post-qualified counselling experience.
Beyond private practice, I have worked with social care teams in fostering, homelessness and substance misuse services, and supported mental health hospitals across the UK to ensure patient safety and best practice.
Alongside counselling, I have:
- taught as a Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) lecturer for level 2 and 3 counselling
- trained school pastoral teams and organisations in mental health awareness
- assessed newly qualified counsellors entering the profession
