My approach

I specialise in working with LGBTQIA+ clients, people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and those managing chronic health conditions. I also specialise in working with people dealing with trauma, including trauma from childhood sexual abuse.

A lot of the people I work with are:

  • living with anxiety, stress or overwhelm, wanting steadier ground
  • people who care deeply about the world – educators, carers, creatives and activists – who can feel the weight of that sensitivity
  • those exploring patterns in relationships, or questions of identity, belonging and how to live with integrity in complex systems
  • clients exploring gender, sexuality and relationships – my practice is inclusive and affirming of all genders, sexualities and relationship styles
  • people in times of transition – endings, beginnings or periods of uncertainty, when life feels in flux
  • anyone wanting to understand relational patterns and explore how these might shift toward greater ease and authenticity

Many people come to therapy with a sense that something isn’t quite right, even if it’s hard to name. You might feel stuck in familiar patterns, carrying more than you can hold alone, or aware that something needs to change. Therapy offers a place to pause with this, rather than push it away or rush to fix it.

As a therapist, I find it important to work relationally and at a pace that feels manageable. Therapy with me is collaborative – a space to slow things down, speak freely, and gently explore what’s been shaping your experience.

Psychologically, we know that a consistent, attuned relationship is one of the strongest predictors of healing. Neuroscience also shows that being listened to by someone regulated and attentive can help the nervous system settle. I hold this at the centre of my work, paying close attention to safety, pacing and trust.

I’m interested in how past experiences, attachment patterns and nervous-system responses show up in the present – including in relationships and in the therapy itself. Therapy can become a place to notice these patterns as they emerge, and to explore how they might begin to soften or shift over time.

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing on relational, body-aware and transpersonal perspectives, as well as parts-based ways of working inspired by internal family systems. Alongside talking, I may invite attention to bodily experience or inner parts where this feels supportive, helping to deepen understanding and integration.

I also hold awareness of how wider social contexts, power dynamics and lived experience can affect our sense of safety, voice and agency.

You don’t need to arrive with a clear agenda. We can take time to sense into what feels important, especially when things are hard to put into words. My intention is to offer a grounded, compassionate space where whatever needs attention can unfold at its own pace.

Training, qualifications and experience

I am a trainee psychotherapist currently at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE). I see clients through CCPE’s low-cost clinic as well as in private practice. I also hold a Certificate in Counselling Skills from City Lit.

My training is integrative, with a strong emphasis on relational, trauma-informed and transpersonal approaches. I have experience working with anxiety, trauma and relational difficulties.

Alongside my training, I have worked with One in Four, supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and with The Caravan. I have also completed a befriending placement with Battersea Befriending Network.

Professional affiliations

I have trainee membership of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
