My approach

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and have been in private practice for a number of years.

In my work I offer a safe opportunity for clients to explore themselves and the unconscious patterns which can be such a force in our lives and over which it can sometimes feel that we have less control than we would like.

I work one to one with individuals who may be experiencing a broad range of issues.

My work is psychoanalytic, psychodynamic and relational. This means I encourage us to think about the unconscious patterns and meanings in our lives, so that individual clients can find their way through the difficulties they are experiencing.

Training and qualifications

I trained and qualified as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist at The Guild of Psychotherapists in London. I undertake regular continuing professional development in line with UKCP requirements, and all my work is supervised.

Past experience

Before training as a psychotherapist I worked in adult education and then with a number of charities.

As well as working in London, I run a private practice in South Wales.

I also undertake organisational development consultancy work with charities and social enterprises all over the UK.

Professional affiliations

I am registered with the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy).

I abide by the UKCP code of ethics.

I am registered with the Information Commission, which governs the confidentiality of data.
