My approach

I offer a warm, compassionate, grounded and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. Within this supportive environment we will work together to make sense of what is happening in your life and what may be contributing to your current difficulties.

Therapy can provide a place to slow things down and reflect on what has been shaping your experiences over time. This may include recurring patterns, moments where you feel stuck or ways of relating to yourself or others that no longer feel helpful.

I am an integrative psychotherapist, which means I am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and work collaboratively with you to find what best supports your needs. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, I tailor my work to you, offering a bespoke and responsive approach.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I work across humanistic, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches. My practice is trauma-informed, having trained within the NHS and in a counselling service dedicated to people experiencing complex trauma.

I believe that therapy is co-created; as such, we will regularly reflect on how the therapy is progressing and adapt it to your needs and preferences. This ongoing process can support you in reaching deeper self-knowledge and in developing clarity, insight and a sense of direction as you move forward in your life.

Outside of psychotherapy I am an academic and spend my time researching, writing and teaching. I have a passion for life-long learning, and I am committed to evidence-based practice.
